AccommodationISBB do not have residences for students. So you must choose your home from the private offering: rooms (single/double) in private houses or flats that can be shared with other students.

Banking
Nearby ISBB, in S. Martinho do Bispo, there are some bank branches that operate between 8:30 am and 3 pm. Moreover, Coimbra has a network of banks throughout the city. Inside ISBB there is an ATM machine.
Shopping
In the downtown of Coimbra (Baixa) there is a large diversity of shops concentrated around pedestrian streets where all kind of products can be bought. It has many coffehouses and bakeries where you can spend a pleasant time. In this area shops are open from 9 am to 7 pm. Some are closed during the lunch time (from 1 to 3 pm). These shops are not open at Saturdays after 1 pm and at Sundays and holidays.
There are also large commercial facilities which includes hypermarket, restaurants several shops and a free car parking, such as a medium-sized shopping center (Coimbra Shopping) and two larger shopping centers (Dolce Vita and Forum Coimbra). Forum Coimbra is quite closer to ISBB. All of them are open from 10 am to 11 pm, everyday. The hypermarket opens earlier.
There are also two retail parks found on the fringes of the city, offering an alternative to the busy city centre: the Retail Park Mondego, more to the south, in Taveiro and Coimbra Retail Park, more to the north, in Eiras.
Next to the ISBB, there is a fresh produce open-air market on every 7th and 23rd days of each month called Feira dos sete (7) e dos vinte e três (23). Another large fresh produce market is opened everyday in downtown - Mercado D. Pedro V.
Health Services
You should not forget your European Health Insurance Card available through your local health authority.
It will help save you time and money if you fall ill or suffer an injury while in Portugal. The card ensures that you will get the same access to public sector health care (e.g. a doctor, a pharmacy, a hospital or a health care centre) as the Portuguese people.
